Mr. Buff has also co-hosted an outdoor adventure news television show for the Outdoor Life Network as well as an adventure travel segments for ESPN’s Cold Pizza. Additionally, Jimmy writes about adventure, health and fitness for numerous publications including the Poughkeepsie Journal, a Gannett newspaper, and the Catskill Mountain Region Guide.
 
An avid outdoor enthusiast, Buff mountain bikes, mountain and trail run’s, ice-and-rock climbs and kayaks both flat and whitewater. In addition, Buff has participated in adventure racing and climbed Mt. Washington in sub-zero temperatures and hurricane force winds. A committed triathlete – he has finished two Ironman triathlons and many shorter distance races – Jimmy Buff has recently entered the world of ultra-marathoning and completed two fifty milers in 2006. Next on the adventure agenda is the Western States 100 mile trail run in June of 2007, pending lottery selection.
 
Jimmy Buff lives in the glorious Catskill Mountains in upstate New York with his wife, a dog and a cat, where they are renovating a 100-year-old farmhouse.

A 22-year radio veteran, Jimmy Buff began his career at legendary rock station WNEW-FM, in New York City, where he produced one of New York’s top-rated morning shows.  Other stops along the radio way for Buff have been K-Rock (WXRK) in New York City, WDST in Woodstock, NY as program director/morning show host and WKZE in Sharon, CT as midday host/program and music director. In addition, Buff programmed the Health, Fitness and Adventure channel for Internet talk radio pioneer eYada.com. Among the hosts Buff signed were Lance Armstrong’s coach Chris Carmichael, top adventure racer Ian Adamson, World Champion triathletes Lori Bowden and Peter Reid and 9 time New York City marathon winner Grete Waitz.
